hello my friend .. many thanks .. all ok thanks .. been a long time, i know, & there may be a few more gaps coming up whilst i get up & running & find time ... my computer died, so i got a new one with win7 which then took me a long time to find ways around drivers, etc, then i fell real ill with some random virus after stabbing myself at work, which was followed by a post viral fatigue for a month, leaving me lying jibbering on the floor with no energy & mad fuzzy brain pain (at the time i had no idea what was going on, so was scary shit!) - this was not good timing as my partner was 8 months pregnant & having to do everything & sort out our 2yr old! .... but, now life seems back on track, health is better, new baby was born this afternoon, & everything is currently happy (i'd better enjoy it before the next bunch of crap hits me!)
hopefully i'll get back posting quality afro joy more regualarly (you'll be glad to know that none of these problems have curbed my afro vinyl purchasing habit!)
Well at least some of that is good news (new baby, new computer, newly found healthiness, etc)...what's that about "as long as you've got your health it's all good."
Hope it stays that way for awhile...enjoy the sleep deprivation. And I'll watch for your new treasures when they arrive.
Hi Yarg, I am researching African music of the 60s/70s Heavy Psych and Hard rock variety, of which there is little I have found so far. I make compilations of that kind for my blog: http://aftersabbath.blogspot.com/
You seem to have a mountain of stuff on this amazing blog and i'd love to listen to every single thing here but there's so much. Can you recommend any of them in particular along the lines heavy fuzz or heavy rock? Thanks a lot! Rich.

i try & only post out-of-print vinyl & cassettes, along with random videos you can't buy ... if i post something that is easily available, or if you own the copyright & don't want it posted here for people to discover & enjoy, please leave a comment in the relevant post & i'll remove the link!
all vinyl & cassette rips are usually at 320kbps
password is either in the post, or the comments, & is usually either afroslabs.blogspot.com ...or... ylow.blogspot.com
(i'm trying to label each post by the country of the artist - if i get any wrong, please let me know!)
